Atlas for Slack — Getting help
Install or reinstall the Slack app
- Visit /apps/slack and click Add to Slack.
- Choose the workspace and approve the requested permissions.
- Sign in to Atlas (or create an account) and open Connectors → Slack → Connect to link the install to your Atlas workspace.
- Invite the bot to any channel you want it active in:
/invite @Atlas AI Agent.
The bot isn't replying in Slack
- Confirm the bot is a member of the channel. By default Slack apps cannot read messages in channels they're not invited to.
- Open Atlas → Connectors → Slack → Validate. A green response confirms the OAuth token is valid.
- If validate fails with "token revoked", reinstall via the steps above.
- For channel mentions, the bot only responds to
@Atlas AI Agent; it does not respond to every message by design. - If the bot still doesn't reply after 30 seconds, email support@ayonix.com with the channel ID, message timestamp, and your workspace name. Logs are retained 30 days.
Disconnect the Slack app
- In Atlas: Connectors → Slack → Disconnect. Removes the token immediately.
- In Slack: Workspace → Settings & administration → Manage apps → Atlas AI Agent → Remove.
- Both actions purge our stored tokens within 24 hours and stop all message processing.
Common errors
| Error | What it means | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "invalid_auth" | The Slack token was revoked or expired | Reinstall the app from /apps/slack |
| "missing_scope" | The app needs a scope it wasn't granted | Reinstall; on the approval screen, do not deselect any scope |
| "not_in_channel" | Bot was asked to reply in a channel it's not in | Run /invite @Atlas AI Agent in the channel |
| "rate_limited" | Slack rate limit hit during a burst | The bot backs off automatically. If it persists, contact support. |
Account, billing, and data requests
- Cancel subscription: Atlas → Settings → Billing → Cancel. Access continues until the end of the current period.
- Delete account: Atlas → Settings → Account → Delete account. Removes user, workspace, all connector credentials, all stored messages, and audit logs within 24 hours.
- Data export: email support@ayonix.com from the email on file. We respond with a machine-readable JSON export within 30 days.
- Right to erasure / GDPR / CCPA: see our Privacy Policy, especially section 10 for Slack-specific handling.
