Get started in three steps

    Install in your workspace

    Click Add to Slack above. Authorize the Atlas app for your workspace. Atlas requests only the scopes it needs to read mentions and reply in conversations it's a member of.

  2. 02

    Link your Atlas account

    Sign in to Atlas (or create a free trial). Open Connectors → Slack → Connect — one click to link the install to your workspace.

  3. 03

    Invite the bot to any channel

    In Slack: /invite @Atlas AI Agent — the bot now responds to @mentions in that channel. DMs work immediately, no invite required.

Permissions and privacy

Atlas requests the minimum scopes needed to operate. We never read messages in channels Atlas hasn't been invited to, never sell data, and never train AI models on your conversations.

What Atlas asks Slack for

  • app_mentions:read — see when someone @-mentions Atlas
  • chat:write — post replies
  • channels:history, channels:read, groups:history — read recent thread context in channels Atlas is in
  • im:history, im:read, im:write, mpim:history — operate in DMs and group DMs
  • users:read — resolve user IDs to display names
